Satoshi Dáte

Satoshi Dáte was born in Tokyo in 1979. He has recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Women’s Wear, at Central Saint Martins College in London (June 2006).

Satoshi has a wide range of art interests and works in a variety of different styles including painting, music, photography and video, as well as fashion. His inspiration comes from his communication with and observation of people. His work has been exhibited and published in London and Tokyo.

In August 2004, the British Library selected one of his garments for an exhibition. Since then, he has collaborated on several projects with Nomadic-Collaborations. He had an exhibition of his artwork and a fashion performance at Project142 in London in October 2005. Most recently, his work was featured in a fashion design show at Central St. Martins (May 2006.)
