Daisy Bolter |

Daisy Bolter is a singer/actress/composer based in Paris, France. Daisy is a founding member of Groupe Lunaben Lulu, with which she has created and performed seven projects (venturing into text, movement, music and site-specific performance). The apparently banal and the ephemereal, Memory, Intimacy are important fields of investigation for Groupe Lunaben Lulu, which experiments different possible interactions between the performers and audience. The company’s shows have been performed in Paris and other cities in France. “Making Haste” ( appointment-performances designed and performed for a one-person audience) took Daisy to Mostar (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Macau (China) in 2002. She returned to Macau in 2004 for two musical projects, “Serenades” and “Récital”. Daisy enjoys exploring various creative and improvisational vocal repertoires (Jazz, traditional music, compositions...) with musicians and other performers (she created voice/movement duet with a trapeze artist). An album is scheduled for 2007 with her own quartet. In June 2006, she created an acapella vocal solo, Mabel, which is based on poetic and musical “weaving” of English and three other languages : Swedish, Dioula and Indonesian. In September 2006, Daisy and Groupe Lunaben Lulu will travel to Java (Indonesia) to collaborate with local musicians and dancers on Lingua Franca, a performance addressing the relationship between identity and language. |
